Doctor Thomas E. Levy wrote in his article titled “PULSED INTRAVENOUS VITAMIN C (PIVC) THERAPY” that researchers had found vitamin C was an effective anti-tumor therapy as long as high enough concentrations of it could be achieved inside the tumor(s). Even the National Cancer Institute agrees that vitamin C has cancer killing capabilities, although they make it hard to find on their site.
The problem up to this point (in 1975), was that the delivery system (oral supplementation) didn’t allow for rapid enough intake of the vitamin C to kill the cancer cells. Intravenous vitamin C was introduced, and they discovered that when vitamin C was consumed in large quantities (100-150 GRAMS per treatment), truly amazing things started happening.
I thought, “this could be exactly what we have been looking for! I want in. It looks safe enough, but I would like to see the results of some vitamin C clinical trials”.
So I started searching the internet for High Dose IV Vitamin C Clinical Trial Results, and the first site listed was ClinicalTrials.gov. On the page listing the intravenous vitamin C clinical trial details, there aren’t any. Okay, that’s weird.
So, after starting their clinical trials for high dose vitamin C treatments on cancer in 2007, and completing it in 2013, they haven’t had enough time to post the results yet. You will notice their website says, “No Study Results Posted on ClinicalTrials.gov for this Study”.
Hmmm, why would that be? WHERE are the results, good or bad? Why run a 6 year clinical trial and NOT post the outcome? Could it be because vitamin C is a cheap vitamin that by definition, can’t be patented because it’s a naturally occurring substance?
After digging a little deeper, I found that Cameron, Campbell and Pauling discovered this FORTY YEARS AGO (article dated Oct. 1976). It seems like the truth about the power and healing properties of vitamin C keeps getting buried decade after decade. There are some clinical trial test results and PDF’s about their intravenous vitamin C cancer trial at that last link. I challenge you to start digging in to find the truth for yourself.
The National Institutes of Health Agrees That Intravenous Vitamin-C As A Cancer Treatment Should Be Reassessed
2006 Article by: Dr. Mark Levine, Molecular Nutrition, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda MD
Early clinical studies showed that high-dose vitamin C, given by intravenous and oral routes, may improve symptoms and prolong life in patients with terminal cancer. Double-blind placebo-controlled studies of oral vitamin C therapy showed no benefit. Recent evidence shows that oral administration of the maximum tolerated dose of vitamin C (18 g/d) produces peak plasma concentrations of only 220 μmol/L, whereas intravenous administration of the same dose produces plasma concentrations about 25-fold higher. Larger doses (50–100 g) given intravenously may result in plasma concentrations of about 14 000 μmol/L.
At concentrations above 1000 μmol/L, vitamin C is toxic to some cancer cells but not to normal cells in vitro. We found 3 well-documented cases of advanced cancers, confirmed by histopathologic review, where patients had unexpectedly long survival times after receiving high-dose intravenous vitamin C therapy. We examined clinical details of each case in accordance with National Cancer Institute (NCI) Best Case Series guidelines.
Tumour pathology was verified by pathologists at the NCI who were unaware of diagnosis or treatment. In light of recent clinical pharmacokinetic findings and in vitro evidence of anti-tumour mechanisms, these case reports indicate that the role of high-dose intravenous vitamin C therapy in cancer treatment should be reassessed.
Well James, if vitamin C is so great, why isn’t every doctor’s office pushing it like candy? In a word, money. Is it really so hard to believe that most cancer doctors, and cancer hospitals, want to protect their investment in education, equipment, and research? I casts enough doubt in my mind to continue to pursue a doctor to administer high dose intravenous vitamin C treatments for glioblastoma multiforme in my wife. We have absolutely nothing to lose, and no amount of iv vitamin C tested has been unsafe, contrary to the Mayo Clinic’s propaganda.
Amy’s chemotherapy is “custom made” to her DNA markers, and that part alone will cost around $50,000.00. In the first 3 months we have had a number of MRI’s, a brain surgery with dissection, our hospital stay, radiation and chemotherapy plus a number of brain cancer medications. The bill for all that is approaching $200,000.00. The Brain Tumor Foundation estimates the cost of treating a glioblastoma at more than $450,000 and says costs of treating a brain tumor can reach $700,000.00 in a lifetime.
I mention this because I’m trying to illustrate the clear conflict of interest I see between a hundreds of billion dollar medical industry, and a few hundred dollar High Dose Intravenous Vitamin-C treatments. Now, vitamin C can’t cure every case of cancer, but in the cases where it can’t, Vitamin C could work better than chemotherapy. I would wager that traditional medical school tuition costs far exceed what doctors can make treating cancer patients with vitamin C.
Curing the Incurable: Vitamin C, Infectious Diseases, and Toxins
Several years ago the author, cardiologist Thomas E. Levy, MD, JD was asked to assist Hal Huggins, DDS, with a number of Dr. Huggins’ dental patients. Each of the patients was quite ill and obviously suffering with one or more very serious medical conditions. Prior to sedating each patient Dr. Huggins asked Dr. Levy to administer a specific protocol of vitamin C.
Dr. Levy had never performed or even heard of such a practice, but was greatly impressed as each patient left the dental office markedly improved — many were asymptomatic. As a result, his interest in vitamin C was greatly aroused and he began a search through all the medical literature for any studies concerning this vitamin therapy and the miraculous results he had witnessed time and time again.
He quickly found the medical journals were filled with thousands of studies and articles about vitamin C. Many of them reported similarly dramatic results with a myriad of diseases and other difficult medical conditions. Dr. Levy knew that this was information that all his colleagues needed. Consequently, he was compelled to spend the next four years researching and writing Curing the Incurable. Because this book was written especially for his medical colleagues, Dr. Levy has taken great care to research, document, and report the vital truths about vitamin C — he cites over 1,200 scientific references.
Curing the Incurable provides the information you need to most effectively use vitamin C to:
Prevent, cure, reverse and/or greatly improve a massive list of health conditions.
Cut your mortality risk (from all causes) by as much as 50%.
Boost your immune system and energy levels to optimum levels.
Optimize blood and intracellular levels of vitamin C.
Dramatically increase bio-availability (up to 800% or more) without increasing your dose size.
Avoid gastric discomfort, the diarrhea, and increased urination that prove most of your large doses of vitamin C are headed for the sewer.
